I, too, received my order without the stand and the pestle. This appears to be the third order in less than a week that was shipped this way. I'm beginning to wonder whether any of these were shipped correctly. I just called customer service and was told a replacement would arrive before the 24th. I'm not real confident that I will have it in time to give it as a Christmas gift as I had intended. I have not begun the return process yet, and based on the previous reviews, I'm not looking forward to it either. I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from ordering this item from this site.

30" Western Red Cedar Wood Garden Planter Box Container Review

Assembly is an absolute joke and the product despite the 100+ pieces and terrible directions is not worth the cost. If it had been assembled it still would have been a disappointment. Granted I am not a carpenter I guess if I was I would have made it myself in the first place and saved 70 dollars and a lot of time. If you buy it and find assembly a breeze please respond and I will retract this and come to the realization that I do indeed have a very limited ability to do even simple tasks.

Omega 8002 Nutrition Center Review

Omega 8002 Nutrition Center
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought the Omega 8002 Juicer on the recommendation of Dr. Joseph Mercola, a holistic health MD who has a popular newsletter and website. We met him at a health fair, tried vegetable juices (including wheatgrass juice) and realized that juicing was a great way to incorporate more vegetables into our diet. I mean, how much broccoli and salad can one person pound down in a day? Not so much.
The Omega 8002 is a single gear machine that turns at a low 80 RPMs, a powerful, slow auger that doesn't heat up the food or cause the juice to foam. This protects the nutritional content of the juice from degradation. In addition, it is "multifunctional"--the juicer can also be employed to make baby food, meat pate, nut butter, or fine ground coffee. The machine is durable, said to be quiet, and has a 10-year guarantee. Sounds good, so we plunked down the cash and got the Omega juicer and set to work.
So, how is it to USE the Omega? Well, it's EASY to put together, though there are quite a few parts and choices to make. Essentially, the steps are:
1. Install the screw drive--the big green plastic spiral, into the plastic housing.
2. Pop a juicing cone (a type of sieve) over the screw so it sits into the housing around the screw. This takes a bit of jockeying, but it drops in just fine.
3. Screw on the end cap and nozzle.
4. Mount this housing onto the front of the juicer motor.
5. Add the food platform on top of the feed tube on the housing.
6. Put the two receiving pitchers underneath the housing; one for the pulp, one for the juice.
Now it's ready to start juicing.

1. Cut up your vegetables into strips or pieces that will fit the 1.5 inch diameter of the feed tube. This means if you juice carrots, those tasty large ones need to be halved or quartered lengthwise.
2. Turn on the motor: it has a forward direction to drive the food OUT, and a reverse setting on the toggle switch to move the food back in case of a clog. I've never needed to do this.
3. Push down the vegetables or other foods with the plunger which is included with the juicer. The food feeds along the screw, is broken up, and the juice is forced through the sieve (cone.) Out the nozzle comes the pulp. The juice flows out underneath, nearer to the motor.
4. When you are finished, turn off the motor, which is QUITE quiet--nothing like a blender or vacuum cleaner. More like the sound of a pasta maker or food processor, for comparison. Dismantle the machine and wash the parts. A big bottle brush is included for this, very helpful.
5. Cleanup takes about 2-3 minutes and is mainly rinsing. The worse job is the sieve of the cone and even that doesn't take but a moment to swab off some pulp that clings to it. I do this ASAP, as I sip my juice, because letting pulp dry on the machine makes it hard to clean. I then reassemble it right then and there, and it's ready to go again.
The Omega juices kale, which is a rather tough leafy dark green form of cabbage. We now can do wheatgrass, once we grow some or find a source of flats of it.
Just for grins, I tried the blank cone and did some meat grinding. It makes a fine grind--not something you'd use for hamburger. It would work for soft, somewhat grainy baby food or pate. I did not try making pasta.
How does it compare to spinning cup type models, like the Braun which we previously used for juicing?
1. The spinning cup model (Braun) is LOUD, really loud. This is because the cup spins at a high speed and whines as a result. This is typical for the cup-type juicer. Sounds like a blender.
2. The cup model cannot juice wheatgrass--the tender stalks of growing wheat or barley that have a lot of antioxidants. It also can't do tough leafy vegetables such as kale.
3. The cup model definitely does not extract as much juice from the vegetables and fruits as compared to the Omega. The pulp in the cup model is a wet slurry. The pulp from the Omega, by contrast, is like slightly moistened sawdust--definitely drier.
In summary, the Omega juicer, while pricier than the typical spinning cup models, is quiet and effective. It gives you the ability to juice and grind things the spinning cup can't handle, like wheatgrass and if you want, meat. It extracts more juice--and at the prices for produce these days, especially if you buy organic produce, this is an important benefit. The juicer is relatively easy to clean and to assemble and use. If you are really serious about drinking vegetable juice or making fresh fruit juices and baby foods, I would say, this is a model to strongly consider over others. The performance and added functionality well repay the higher price.

Whirlpool : GI7FVCXWY 27 cu. ft. Bottom Mount Refrigerator - Stainless Steel Review

Whirlpool : GI7FVCXWY 27 cu. ft. Bottom Mount Refrigerator - Stainless Steel

RUN, do NOT walk away from this refrigerator. Believe all of these reviews and PLEASE do not waste your money! After tons of research, I'm so regretting my purchase.
What I originally liked about the fridge and why I chose it:
Ice maker is in the door, leaving good space open on fridge shelves.
Has pull out water dispenser for tall glasses and/or sport bottles (nozzle that turns out)
Nice finish
It's a Whirlpool...sure it's expensive but it'll be worth it, right?Icemaker:
Makes very little ice at a time. I saw that issue in another review, but didn't think anything of it because I don't use ice much. The ice maker is so small that it is always VERY loudly making ice. Then the ice melts together into one blob (!)and will barely dispense out...in actual cubes anyway. The left door with the w/ice maker in it is very heavy so within seconds after you open it, it comes right back onto you. This makes it next to impossible to use the deli drawer, since both doors have to be open to pull the drawer out.
Door:
To keep the door from closing in, have tried re-leveling, etc nothing works. The techs who set it up said that it happened to them too. Thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but is actually very annoying trying to hold it open if you need two hands to get stuff out/in the fridge, and it folds in on you. I find myself using the right door only...may as well have my old have my side-by-side back (it was 16 years old and far bypasses this fridge in all aspects)
Motor:
We're on our second fridge in one month because the first one was making strange, loud, whiny-whirring noises each time it cycled on and off. Well, now the second fridge is also doing it. Definitely doesn't sound normal. Of course it's passed the time I can return it now.
Interior:
Compared to other fridges, the shelves and drawers are very plastic-y, cheapish with, rough-edged plastic shelves/drawers..don't look like they'll hold up long.
Finish:
maybe this is the issue with all stainless appliances? No matter what special cleaner I buy for it, the fridge is left with smear marks. Don't know, maybe I'm doing something wrong there.
Water Dispenser:
Okay, so the ONLY thing that I like about this fridge is the cool programmable water dispenser. Can allocate three different ounce volumes to fill a glass/bottle. It turns itself off after reaching chosen ounce size.
So, I guess what I essentially have in my kitchen is a $2,200.00 water dispenser!
I don't write many reviews on all the products I buy, but I am making a point to on this fridge because I want to warn others NOT to spend this kind of money on something that in NO way lives up to what quality it should be. There are plenty of other options out there. Samsung for one seems to do really well. Hard to believe that Whirlpool can sell these fridges in good conscience. It's too late for me but not for you :-) Good luck

Churchill China Chelsea Blue Willow 45-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 8 Review

Churchill China Chelsea Blue Willow 45-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 8
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Second time around - going to quit and get a refund. No more dishes from Amazon. Amazon should consider suspending this vendor as the dishes were improperly packaged and labeled which led to dish breakage. Also no proof or materials enclosed that show if the plates are microwave or dishwasher safe or contain no lead.
Here is my note to Amazon customer service from the first try:
The Amazon box had a slit from top to bottom on one of its corners. It also wasn't properly labeled "i.e. glass, caution, or breakables" to warn the shipper of its contents.
Once I opened the main Amazon box, there were two cardboard boxes that were unlabeled by the manufacturer. On the product description it stated that the china was to come packaged in the manufacturer's original packaging - it wasn't. Both boxes looked like they had been opened previously.
The first box was packaged correctly and had cardboard separators with paper between each item.
The second box was a different story. I knew it was a bad sign when I lifted the box out and I heard a rattle. When I opened it the dishes were laid in there haphazardly with the cardboard separators all jumbled on the bottom so I know someone had already opened it and perhaps it was a return. I was surprised that only three saucers were broken considering the state of the packaging.
Further, I was disconcerted because I ordered the product because it was Churchill and made in England, as stated in the product description. It is misrepresented because the items I received said they were Wessex and made in Malaysia. The outside of the plain cardboard box stated it was made in Columbia! WHAT THE HECK????
I have been a loyal Amazon customer over the years and have been quite happy with my Amazon and Amazon marketplace purchases. This was my first disappointment. I will stick with non-breakables from now on.

Pyrex Storage Deluxe 2-Cup Divided Dish with Lid Review

Pyrex Storage Deluxe 2-Cup Divided Dish with Lid
Average Reviews:

Yes, the lid is a tight fit, but that results in fresher leftovers. I'm not so sure that this item was designed for taking your lunch with you, because it is understandably heavy, due to the glass container. Overall a solid product that separates diverse leftovers and keeps them fresh prior to microwaving (the vented plastic lid is a nice touch).
